Welcome to the Morrisville Elementary Art Website!
Hello students and parents! I hope you are staying safe at home. I miss getting to see all your smiling faces! Please check out the Spectacular Specials website to explore some fun resources available to you at home. Each week I will add a new art challenge to complete. Please share the artwork you make by taking a picture of your art and: 1. Upload your picture to your Artsonia account (if you aren't signed up I can email your code) 2. Tweet the photo to @Mustangspecials#MESkidsatwork 3. You can email your picture to [email protected].
Check out our school's Artsonia page where each child has their own digital art portfolio. You need a parent code to give your student permission and permission slips are handed out periodically throughout the year. If you need a code you can also email Mrs. Moore at [email protected].
1. Creativity: Students are encouraged to create unique and original artwork and to use their imagination and think outside the box. 2. Communication: Students are encouraged to use nice words in art class when talking with their peers. Students are also shown how their artwork can communicate a message to the viewer. 3. Collaboration: Students are encouraged to share art materials and ideas with each other and to help their table clean up at the end of class. There are also certain art projects in which students create the artwork together with their peers. 4. Critical Thinking: Students are required to be problem sovlers when creating their artwork. They are encouraged to turn their mistakes into something new instead of getting a new paper. Students can learn from their mistakes and use the information they learned when they create their next piece of art.
There are supplies we always need in the art room.
